About Roger Crockett
Roger Crockett is the newest Board member at the United Way of Rockbridge; his term began January 19, 2022. Roger came to Lexington in 1991 with his wife Anna and children, as Professor of German and Department Head at Washington & Lee University. Previously he taught at Texas A&M University. Roger's specialities are medieval and modern German literature with an emphasis on drama. He loves music and sings with the choruses of Opera Roanoke and the Roanoke Symphony. Roger stays busy; he is also a member of the Education Committee of the Lexington/Rockbridge NAACP, a volunteer at the RARA Food Pantry, and a driver for VPAS Meals on Wheels. Service is a family affair as his wife Anna also serves on several committees in the community and for Grace Episcopal Church. He is excited to begin participation on the UWR Board.
