The United Way of Rockbridge joined 17 other organizations In Celebrating "THE FESTIVAL OF TREES" November 20, 2021 - January 3, 2022.
Each organization decorated a tree that best represents them. The United Way of Rockbridge tree highlighted, with handmade ornaments, the many local organizations we fund and support. One of those is the Natural Bridge-Glasgow Food Pantry which was selected to be a recipient of donations. Visitors were encouraged to donate nonperishable food for the Natural Bridge-Glasgow Food Pantry, or new to gently used books AND unwrapped children's toys for the Feed the Need Foundation of Buena Vista. Together with the other organizations we collected 3,472 items of food, toys, and books, overall! We like to say, we work better when we work together!
