Last fall (Sept. 25-Oct. 11) the United Way of Rockbridge (UWR) completed a successful Community Children's Book Drive. The Rockbridge community generously donated over 600 new and gently used children's books. The books collected are used in UWR's ongoing childhood dvelopment and literacy projects that provide books to various locations so children can select books to take home, read, and keep. We sort and redistribute the books via the Rockbridge County Health Department, Rockbridge Area Relief Association, the YMCA, local schools, and The Community Table. We work better when we work together!
