About Liz Elizondo Schroepfer

Liz grew up in beautiful Marin County, California and has lived in Lexington since 2018. Prior to moving to Virginia, she lived in Austin, Texas, while she and her husband completed their PhDs at the University of Texas at Austin. Liz is currently an Assistant Professor in the History Department at VMI where she teaches classes on Latin America. She lives in Lexington with her husband Jason (an Assistant Professor of Arabic at VMI), their three-year-old son Johnny, and her mom, Gigi. Liz is fluent in Spanish, an avid knitter, and enjoys visiting Virginia’s National Parks.
